On the eve of Beautycon LA, influencers gathered inside trendy Los Angeles event space The Blind Dragon to kick off the weekend festival. The event—in collaboration with beauty brand Milani—was filled with light bites, karaoke sessions, and—of course—makeup. 

Upon arrival, attendees were offered a selection of drinks inspired by the theme of the evening: “A Night of Gilded Glam.” The “Very Violet” cocktail contained gin, blueberry, lavender syrup, lemon juice, and lavender garnish while “Babe” composed of white, red, and rose wine. 

As for the actual food, among the appetizers being passed around on platters were tuna avocado shrimp sushi and short rib bao. An extravagant dessert table was also on display, featuring gold-dusted rock candy, chocolate-covered strawberries, cake pops, macaroons, and more.

The night culminated with a karaoke showdown, where guests were encouraged to choose a song and sing it atop the venue’s couches. TikTok singing sensation Taylor Felt and singer/songwriter Devyn Kelly collaborated on numerous tunes including “Shallow,” “Hello,” and “Say My Name.”

On the way out, attendees were bestowed with two gifts: Jewels by Durrani CZ studs and the Milani Gilded Vault, filled with the brand’s entire palette collection. Although the main Beautycon event had yet to begin, the glamorous evening served as the ultimate precursor to the following day’s festivities.
