What You Need to Know About Rihanna's New Skincare Line, Fenty Skin

Pop icon Rihanna just released her first-ever skincare line, Fenty Skin, featuring products guaranteed to make your complexion shine bright like a diamond. Released on July 31st, three years after the debut of Fenty Beauty, the collection includes a cleanser, a toner serum and an SPF moisturizer that instantly achieve a natural-looking glow.

Rihanna’s makeup aims to represent a broad spectrum of skin tones and types, and her latest release is no different. "Everybody has skin, and everybody should take care of it, so I never approached skincare or making this line from a gender standpoint,” the singer explained in a press statement. “I didn't want anyone to feel excluded or be excluded." Indeed, to further its emphasis on diversity, Fenty Skin incorporates a range of unisex models, including rappers Lil Nas X and ASAP Rocky.

The first item in the collection is the Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, highlighting a drool-worthy aroma of Barbados cherries, green tea, figs and quinces (a rare fruit reminiscent of apples and pears). The formula transforms into a thick lather upon coming in contact with the skin, extracting excess dirt, oil and makeup without stripping or drying out your complexion.

The Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum packs a punch: Japanese raisin tree detoxifies pores, while Australian lemon myrtle and witch hazel water reduce oil and refine the skin. The toner—thick enough so that a cotton pad isn’t needed to apply it—also includes niacinamide, a key ingredient in reducing the appearance of dark spots over time.

No need to worry about skipping out on sunscreen, as the 2-in-1 Hydra Vizor Invisible Sunscreen Moisturizer is already loaded with SPF 30. The elixir is specially formulated with Kalahari melon, a wild watermelon packed with vitamins and antioxidants, and Baobab, an African tree with hydrating superfruits. The product transfers onto the skin like a veil of liquid silk, brightening the complexion so that a proper base is established before putting on makeup.

Each item benefits the planet as well, containing all non-comedogenic, gluten-free, vegan, eco-friendly ingredients. The skincare comes in sleek pink and purple packaging that produces less waste (no boxes or shrink wrap), and tubes are made with 40% PCR (post-consumer recycled material).

With products that reap a wide range of benefits, Rihanna’s new skincare line is nothing short of star-quality. Go ahead and show off your glowing complexion—now it’s your turn to take a bow.
