Celebrity Couple Obsessions

When all hope for love seems lost in our own lives, we often look to our fave celebs to restore our faith. Indeed, by witnessing all the public smooches and extravagant weddings, it seems as if our own happily ever after isn’t so far away after all. Behold Hollywood’s top five most aw-worthy duos that are guaranteed to make you swoon…

  1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

This twosome has continually maintained a solid relationship; after all, it’s the reality star’s longest marriage yet. The pop culture icons started off as friendly acquaintances after meeting in 2004 and first hinted at their chemistry while filming a hip-hop puppet show together called Alligator Boots. West did not express his feelings for Kardashian, however, until April 2012, when he released his single, “Cold,” containing the following lyrics: "And I'll admit, I had fell in love with Kim/Around the same time she had fell in love with hiiiim.” Kardashian had been going through a divorce with ex Kris Humphries at the time and did not hesitate to move on to another man quickly. In June 2012, Kardashian publically referred to herself as West’s girlfriend in a tweet, and the couple’s relationship has soared since then. They got married on May 24, 2014 and currently have four children together: North (6), Saint (4), Chicago (2), and Psalm (9 months). As both of them focus on their individual endeavors--for Kim, her makeup brand KKW Beauty, and for Kanye, his music--fans can only hope that their relationship continues to remain as strong as it is today.

2. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

The pair has a long history (they met 20 years ago on the set of That ‘70s Show) yet are now happily married and have two children together: Wyatt (3) and Dimitri (1). Kutcher had previously fallen for actress Demi Moore and wed her in a private Kabbalah ceremony in 2005, eventually calling it quits after allegations of Kutcher being unfaithful. Following his divorce in 2011, Kutcher and Kunis rekindled their friendship in April 2012 and became husband and wife in 2015.

3. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

The former Gossip Girl actress and Deadpool actor are in it for the long run. After getting married on September 9, 2012 in a Boone Hall Plantation, Lively stated to Marie Claire that “we’ve never gone a week without seeing each other.” However, it wasn’t necessarily love at first sight. When Lively and Reynolds first met on the set of Green Lantern in 2010, he was married to Scarlett Johansson while Lively was in a serious relationship with Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley. They were “just friends” for a while, until Lively’s homemade cupcakes she brought Reynolds on set, as well as her vibrant personality, won him over. Currently, the duo has two daughters together: James (5) and Ines (3).

4. Victoria and David Beckham

Married for 20 years, it’s safe to say that this duo is the ultimate power couple. The retired football player and former Spice Girl met at a charity football match in Manchester in 1997 and announced their plans to marry around a year later. Just months before the wedding, the twosome gave birth to their first child, Brooklyn (now 20), in March 1999. Shortly after the Beckhams wed at Luttrellstown Castle on July 4, 1999, they became known as the world’s most photographed couple, notably attending events in matching outfits. Later on, the couple welcomed two more sons: Romeo in 2002 (now 17), Cruz in 2005 (now 15), and Harper in 2011 (now 8). As the duo’s careers evolved over the years and their hometowns continually shifted, they still remained by each other’s sides and supported each other’s individual successes.

5. Hailey and Justin Bieber

This duo shocked fans when they confirmed their engagement on July 7, 2018, but looking back on a timeline of their relationship, it seems as if the signs were there all along. They were first introduced by the model’s father in 2009 but did not showcase PDA until a smooch on New Year’s Eve in 2015. Ironically, in his March 2016 cover story for GQ, Justin pondered about what forever would look like with Hailey: "What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged.” After a two-year break (Bieber was in a relationship with Selena Gomez while Baldwin was linked to Shawn Mendes), the twosome rekindled their relationship in 2018. They started to display themselves as a pair in public, attending dinner at popular NYC restaurants with onlookers watching. Finally, Bieber confirmed Baldwin as his fiancé: “My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else.” The Biebers offcially got married on September 13, 2018, and they have been going strong ever since. Indeed, Justin has even noted how Hailey served as the inspiration for his latest album, Changes, and that she spent a lot of time in the studio with him as he was recording.
