Passionate About Peanuts

Snoopy come homeeeee….actually bring home some of the clothing from designers’ Peanuts inspired lines instead. Brands like Uniqlo, Vans, and Coach have all created clothing and accessories based on the popular comic strip “Peanuts.” Each one had something special to offer that truly captured the spirit of Peanuts:

After the success of its first Peanuts collection, Uniqlo partnered with legendary graffiti artist Joe Kaws to design a second, all black and white collection that gives Snoopy a bit of a makeover (more graphic; Snoopy has two crosses over his eyes!). Snoopy tees not your style? The line also has adorable black or white Snoopy plush toys for sale in both small and large sizes!

Vans decided to go old-school, using the original Charles M. Schulz illustrations as a shoe canvas. The brand even decided to hide special homages to Peanuts within certain items. The Sk8-Hi Reissue shoe has Woodstock hidden on its tongue while the classic slip-on shoe has “Best Friends” stamped onto the front toe bumper (a tribute to Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Woodstock’s friendship). Aww!

Coach’s new creative director, Stuart Vevers, decided to cater to the label’s more playful side by completely embracing the world of Peanuts. Among the most memorable pieces from the collection: a bright yellow purse (the same shade as Woodstock’s feathers!) and a black purse with a white Snoopy who is happily skipping. Who doesn’t want a burst of joy being carried on your shoulder?

Each brand’s clothing line is being released right on time for the Holidays so that you can snuggle up by the fireplace and watch A Charlie Brown Christmas while being dressed in the spirit. So what are you waiting for? Good grief...check out some of my top pieces ASAP.
