Clean Skin Is Always In: CoverGirl's Clean Fresh Collection

An all-natural complexion has never been so sought after, and with CoverGirl’s new four-product Clean Fresh collection, it has become easier than ever to achieve. The affordable line (all products are under $12) is cruelty-free and vegan, formulated sans parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, sulfates, fragrance, or mineral oil to ensure clean, fresh skin.

The goal of Clean Fresh is to encourage customers to embrace their natural beauty, hence why the brand chose actress and body positivity/mental health advocate Lili Reinhart as the face of the collection. “CoverGirl is such an inclusive brand...and that's incredibly important,” Reinhart has said. “I wasn't aware that clean beauty was even a category. It's so crazy to think that that exists, and then the opposite exists. There's obviously products out there that have a lot of stuff going on in them. Consumers are smart and they're paying attention to what they're putting on their faces, as they should be.” The development team at CoverGirl made it their mission to incorporate top products into their new products, guaranteeing that each item is safe to use. “Clean Fresh is a game-changer for me,” says celebrity makeup artist Danielle Parkes. “I’ve seen the negative impact that certain makeup has on my clients’ skin, but since I’ve started using CoverGirl’s new collection, their skin has never looked more naturally beautiful.”

Featured in the collection are Cooling Glow Stick ($9), a shimmery highlighter that glides onto eyes, lips, and cheeks; Tinted Lip Oil, a moisturizer that keeps lips plump for up to six hours; Cream Blush ($9), a dewy pigment filled with hyaluronic acid; and Skin Milk ($10), a lightweight, hydrating foundation packed with aloe vera and coconut milk. Skin Milk is produced in 14 shades, although the brand maintains that it matches 99 percent of all skin tones.

The Clean Fresh launch party took place last week at Rolling Greens Nursery in Los Angeles with a slew of celebrity guests in attendance, including Reinhart; Kim Possible’s Sadie Stanley; Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ Khadijah Haqq; The Bachelor’s Amanda Stanton; Jessie’s Peyton List; On My Block’s Jasmine Marie Garcia; blogger Kaitlyn Carter; TikTok stars Addison Easterling, Avani Gregg, Mads Lewis, and Madison Monroe; and Brat actresses Kelsey Cook and Talin Silva. The festivities featured a plant-decorating station to pay homage to the all-natural makeup collection: guests received a potted aloe plant to fill with quartz stones, pink sand, and colored moss. As for the food, the event served up butternut squash and coconut garlic creme pizza; an edible garden with puffed wild rice "soil,” black olives, and breadcrumbs; seasonal baby vegetables; and mini jewel lettuce heads with housemade ranch dressing. The drink menu included a watermelon cooler, pressed juices, Easy Breezy Rosé, and coconut water served in “CoverGirl”-labeled coconuts.

Clear skin is always in, but with Clean Fresh, customers are instilled with optimal confidence to sport a natural-looking complexion.
